Welcome to another episode of the Conscious Design Podcast today Ian welcomes Karsten Rowe as his guest. Karsten talks a bit about himself and the company he currently works for as a short intro to the entire interview. Karsten then talks a bit more about where he thinks the industry is heading and what new advancements can we expect from the technology realm. Karsten and Ian then discuss the availability and usage of large quantities of data and how it might be used in the future or is being used today. The discussion then shifts on how this data can be more efficiently used and how to adapt old infrastructure to make use of all the available data and make better decisions in the process. Karsten then shares what multiple points of view he has heard from the public and how the opinion of the public changes based on the geographical location. Karsten then explains how different scales of operations require different adaptations and what is the sweet spot in scale size. Ian and Karsten both talk more about which area of products is more dominant in sales and demand and if there is such a difference in the first place.
